Sr. Catheter Engineer

As a Senior Catheter Engineer of the MedVenture Product Development Team, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities related to catheter project management to support MedVenture's medical product development process. You will also work closely with our customers on technical issues. There will also be time required to support new business opportunities. Detail description is provided below.
- Lead and/or perform engineering activities to support MedVenture’s product development process
- Lead and/or support Product Development project plan (project schedule, resources, and budget)
- Provide proper documentation to support quality system for their tasks (concept document,DFMEA, specifications, etc.)
- Lead/Perform activities to establish feasibility of concepts and determine specific inputs
- Develop medical devices
- Lead/Perform risk analysis, reliability, solid modeling, analytical problem solving techniques
- Lead/Support verifications and validations activities
- Complete/support other activities as required
- Lead/support Device Review
- Represent MedVenture’s technical issue to customer
- Provide input and research to technical issues
- Coordinates technical activities with Program Manager
- Document and resolve technical deviations and issues with customer in a timely manner
- Lead and/or work with manufacturing to ensure design is manufacturable and meets customer requirements
- Work with appropriate organizations to ensure components and assemblies are designed for optimum manufacturability
- Provide input to Process FMEA
- Support manufacturing until project is transferred
- Work with Program Manager to support quoting process
- Lead to supply technical information to support quoting process
- Lead to provide assumptions and review estimates to support quoting process
Job Requirements
- Proven technical skills
- Bachelors degree in technical field as a minimum, graduate level degree preferred.
- 5 years minimum experience in Catheter Engineering and/or Research and Development.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the medical device industry.
- Excellent technical, written, and verbal communications skills.
